About the Caucus

WHO WE ARE

Formed in 1972 in St. Louis, Missouri, the National Women's Political Caucus of Metro St. Louis is an affiliate of the National Women's Political Caucus, the only national grassroots organization dedicated to increasing the number of women in elected and appointed office. We help women at every level, regardless of party. The NWPC - Metro St. Louis is one of hundreds of local chapters across the country, all working to put women into the political pipeline.

The NWPC - Metro St. Louis works to recruit, train and support area women for elected and appointed office. In the last 30 years, the Caucus has helped dozens of women candidates from several political parties. Click here for a list of some of our Endorsed Candidates. WHAT WE DO

• Identify and recruit women candidates for public office
• Train women candidates and campaign workers to win
• Endorse women candidates who are committed to equal rights, child care and reproductive freedom
• Support endorsed candidates with financial contributions, volunteers and technical assistance
• Prepare and promote women for appointments to public office
• Provide information related to women and politics
