2004 Elections

Women Running in 2004

There are several women to watch in the 2004 elections. JoAnn Karll is the only pro-choice woman running in the August primary for the 3rd Congressional District seat being vacated by Dick Gephardt. Claire McCaskill is challenging incumbent Bob Holden in the primary race for Governor. Former Secretary of State Bekki Cook is seeking the Democratic nomination for Lt. Governor, and Robin Carnahan is running for Secretary of State.
